Description

The collection revolves around two declared guiding principles: lightness and discipline. The choreographic inspiration is expressed through a careful construction of the silhouette, with a defined waist and a bust contained by gathered proportions. Voluminous skirts and overcoats with strong stage presence create a striking volumetric contrast that evokes the controlled elegance of the dance world.

The chosen fabrics underscore this tension between rigor and fluidity. Double-faced silk satin, with its glossy, almost technical finish, shapes compact surfaces adorned with graphic patterns and classic motifs such as checks and Prince of Wales. The colour palette centers on cool tones—icy shades and metallic greys—enlivened by deep black and the soft beige of furs, introducing a tactile and visually comforting element.

The evening dress holds a pivotal role in the collection’s narrative. Blue, an explicit reference to Picasso’s pictorial universe, asserts itself as the dominant colour. The garments are enriched with pleats, ruffles, three-dimensional embroidery, and iridescent appliqués, lending dynamism and layered visual depth. The show reaches its climax with the appearance of a single, long, dramatic red dress, accompanied by a gypsy-style decorated shawl. This final moment introduces a note foreign to the collection’s established colour and formal scheme, creating a symbolic rupture. The models then reappear in blue dresses inspired by dance attire, posed statically on the runway like a class of ballerinas at rest. The closing image highlights the theatricality of the gesture, bringing the collection full circle to its thematic core: the relationship between movement, discipline, and representation.
