Description

The collection represents a declaration of intent in Giorgio Armani's ongoing reflection on the identity of the female wardrobe, reaffirming the centrality of the wide jacket as the structural and symbolic pivot of his stylistic language. Instead, the outerwear is reworked through a more fitted and calibrated register: the shoulders are reduced, the waist is tightened, in a delicate play of contraction and release that finds its counterpoint in the short skirts and soft trousers, designed to re-establish a dynamic balance of the silhouette. The tension between rigour and softness is also reflected in the choice of materials, which embrace the memory of men's tailoring–flannels, pinstripes, cashmere–but are subjected to sophisticated treatments: embossing, three-dimensional effects, wavy surfaces that amplify their tactility and tonal depth.

Evening is illuminated by a new sobriety, where elegance is expressed in subtraction, but never in renunciation. Essential dresses light up with precious embroideries, printed motifs, metallic reflections; the shape becomes a container of meanings, oscillating between archaic references and contemporary interventions. A cultured, harmonious taste dominates, crossed by deliberately heterogeneous cultural echoes: the powdery, powdery colours recall the synthetic Orientalism of Paul Poiret, while the graphic constructions, square and modular, echo the visual tension of Aleksandr Rodčenko's constructivist compositions. And over it all hovers the sophisticated shadow of Marlene Dietrich–androgynous muse par excellence–whose ambiguous elegance offers the key to understanding a collection that transforms the memory of the past into living material for the imagination of the present.

In this alchemy of references, the collection takes the form of a layered and fluid visual grammar, in which each garment becomes an autonomous statement, but also part of a broader discourse: that of a free, intellectual femininity, always on the move.
