The collection, inspired by Jean Cocteau, explores eccentricity with Giorgio Armani's usual elegance. The silhouette plays with volumes and proportions: wide trousers that narrow at the ankle, short jackets alternating with high-waisted models that widen at the hips. The softness of the garments remains central: jackets modelled on the body with the lightness of fine knit cashmere, masculine twinsets composed of cardigan and jumper, and jewel velvets for the evening, a discreet reference to the dandiesque glamour of Cocteau.
Eccentric details complete the picture: shirts fastened with frog buttons under checked motifs, unbuttoned cuffs revealing striped silk linings, and a wide cape, a direct homage to the poet. Overcoats also play with the exotic, thanks to leather or sheepskin linings with tiger patterns and horn buttons. Finally, the streamlined hairstyle of the models recalls Cocteau's famous look, sealing Armani's tribute to his idol.
